Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812 (Winter 2023)
Avery Gallagher, a standout performer in Rider University's BFA program, has concluded her senior year on a high note with a captivating portrayal of "Sonya Rostova" in "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812."
The show was directed by Broadway veteran T. Oliver Reed, a close friend and colleague of Rachel Chavkin, the original Broadway director of the production.
As one of the leading roles, Avery showcased her exceptional talent and range with deep altos notes and folk influence, leaving a lasting impression on audiences and peers alike. Her performance serves as a testament to her growth and proficiency as she completes her BFA program at Rider University.

Asbury Park Theater Company’s Greatest Hits Concert (Fall 2023)
Avery Gallagher, celebrated for her captivating portrayal of Heather in Asbury Park Theater Company's production of "American Idiot," once again took the stage by storm at the company's Greatest Hits Concert in Fall 2023. Performing select songs from the hit musical, Gallagher showcased her exceptional talent and magnetic stage presence to an enthusiastic audience.
Sharing the spotlight was none other than Broadway star Brian O'Brien, whose commanding presence and powerhouse vocals added an extra layer of excitement to the event.
The concert, featuring standout performances from casts of acclaimed productions such as "Million Dollar Quartet" and "The Bikinis," was a testament to the vibrant and diverse theatrical community in Asbury Park.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Avery Gallagher recently starred as Janet Weiss in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" with the Atlantic City Theatre Company at the historic Claridge Hotel. Directed by Off-Broadway star Jeremy Rotolo, Gallagher's performance showcased her dynamic talent amidst the iconic Celebrity Theater (previously called the Palace Theater) that once hosted legends like Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe.
The production's unique challenge of blending a shadowcast with real singing demanded precise timing and coordination, a feat Gallagher mastered with finesse. Under Rotolo's visionary direction, the cast meticulously synchronized choreography, dialogue, and staging with the cult classic film, resulting in an immersive theatrical experience.

Heathers: The Musical

Avery Gallagher's stellar performance as Veronica Sawyer in "Heathers: The Musical" has earned her widespread acclaim and admiration. Taking on the lead role in this cult-classic 80s film adaptation, Gallagher navigated the challenges of the character with unparalleled skill and dedication, leaving audiences in awe.
Portraying Veronica Sawyer presented unique difficulties, as Gallagher remained on stage for nearly the entirety of the show, stepping off only briefly for a single song. Her portrayal demanded not only exceptional vocal prowess to tackle the high and technically demanding rock score but also mastery of extensive fight and intimacy choreography.
Holding the show together with her commanding presence and unwavering talent, Gallagher's portrayal of Veronica Sawyer was a new and exciting challenge for her career. Clean Slate
(Summer 2022, Winter 2023)
Rising talent Avery Gallagher takes center stage in Passage Theater's captivating production of "Clean Slate." Cast as Echo #2 and understudy for Leo, Avery's exceptional performance garnered praise from audiences and critics alike throughout the show's successful run.
The journey began with a 29-hour workshop, culminating in a staged reading at the picturesque Mill Hill Park Amphitheater in Trenton, NJ, on August 19th. From there, Avery continued to showcase her talent as "Clean Slate" made its world premiere at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, from February 24th to 26th. The production then moved to Passage Theater at Mill Hill Playhouse in Trenton, NJ, running from March 10th to 19th.
In a stroke of luck, Avery had the opportunity to step into the role of Leo twice during the Passage Theater production, further highlighting their versatility and dedication to the craft.
"Clean Slate," featuring music and lyrics by Kate Brennan and a book by David Lee White, offers a compelling narrative that delves into the lives of disaffected high school students sent to a rehabilitation camp that may be haunted by the souls of former campers. Under the direction of Ryanne Domingues and musical direction by Louis Danowsky, the production delivers a powerful message of radical empathy and the importance of embracing our past to forge a brighter future.
Spring Awakening (Fall 2022)

Avery Gallagher made her entrance into the professional theatre scene with her captivating portrayal of Heather in Green Day's "American Idiot" at the Asbury Park Theatre Company. Adding to the excitement of the show was the presence of John Gallagher Jr, the original leading man of the cast, who first portrayed Johnny in the production. Gallagher Jr’s attendance and praise for the cast, crew, and Avery’s performance added an extra layer of significance to the event.
As a Tony Award winner, his endorsement carried considerable weight. His eagerness to share his fond memories of the Broadway run and text the original cast and director Michael Mayer about the production deeply touched the cast and crew.
Under the Direction of the Village People’s William Whitefield, the production of "American Idiot" thrived, benefiting from his extensive experience and innovative vision. The guidance of Asbury Park's legend, Remember Jones, as the producer, ensured that the production maintained its authenticity and energy. Remember Jones, deeply rooted in both punk and theatre, brings a unique perspective and passion for storytelling to every project he undertakes. Choreographed by Serena Soffer, whose impressive resume includes serving as the assistant choreographer of "Footloose" on Broadway and as an assistant choreographer on the "Rock of Ages" movie, the dance sequences in "American Idiot" were executed with flair, adding another layer of excitement to the production
